Biomaterials are natural or synthetic materials used to repair, replace, support, or restore tissue function in the human body. Marine-derived biomaterials, such as collagen, alginate, and chitosan, possess biocompatible, bioactive, and biodegradable properties, making them widely used in dentistry, particularly in rege-nerative therapies. This literature review evaluates the potential utilization of marine-based biomaterials as natural agents in the development of regenera-tive dentistry therapies and their clinical applications. It is concluded that marine-based biomaterials such as collagen, alginate, chitosan, coral, and carragee-nan show promising potential in regenerative dentistry and may be applied in various clinical settings. However, further studies and clinical trials are required to confirm their effectiveness, safety, and standardization for clinical application.
